A LITTLE SOMETHING YOU
MIGHT NEED TO HEAR…

Needing you at night isn’t a problem to fix. 👀

There is so much pressure on mothers to create independence as quickly as possible. To stop the contact naps. To stop feeding to sleep. To get them sleeping alone. To “teach” self-settling before they’re even developmentally ready.

Here’s the truth: closeness isn’t a bad habit. I would never use any form of crying it out. Everything I do is 100% responsive, and built around your baby and your family.

A newborn sleeping peacefully on Katie’s chest

The advice you’ve heard a hundred times…

“They should be in
their own room by now.”
“Leave them to settle,
they’ll get used to it.”
“Stop feeding them to sleep,
you’re making a rod for your back.”
“No more contact naps!”

So much noise.

(and so little of it is true.)

Believe me, I’ve heard it all too. Advice that goes against everything your gut is telling you doesn’t make nights easier. It just leaves you second-guessing yourself. There is a gentler way, and it starts with trusting the person who knows your baby best: you.

sound familiar?

You love the closeness.
You’re just exhausted.

The families I support often love being close to their baby: bedsharing, nursing to sleep, or spending hours rocking their little ones because it feels right in their gut. But behind closed doors, they’re running on empty.

IF YOU’RE READING THIS, YOU MIGHT BE…

01.

The exhausted co‑sleeper

You love bedsharing, but waking every 60 minutes is leaving you running on empty.

02.

Trapped in 2am “party hours”

Lying awake in the dark while your baby is bright-eyed and ready to play.

03.

The sole settler

Desperate for a break, but your baby will only accept you for bedtime.

04.

The accidental co‑sleeper

Bedsharing got you through survival mode, but now you’d like to gently transition to a cot or floor bed.

05.

Stuck on 5am starts

Exhausted by early mornings that feel impossible to stretch.

06.

Overwhelmed by online noise

Sick of hearing you’re “building bad habits”, or going to bed at 7pm just to survive.

If you’re looking for guidance, but the thought of traditional sleep training or letting your baby cry makes your stomach turn…

you’re in the right place.

THE FACE BEHIND CO TO SLEEP BABY

Hey, I’m Katie 👋
mum of two & a
proud bedsharing
enthusiast.

And a firm believer that you never have to leave your baby to cry to get a good night’s sleep.

If we haven’t met yet, welcome! I’m a certified Holistic Sleep Coach, trained through the Holistic Sleep Programme under Dr Lyndsey Hookway, the highest level of infant sleep qualification available in the UK.

But before the credentials, the science and the sleep plans, I was just an utterly exhausted mum trying to navigate a world that felt completely overwhelming.

my story

How Motherhood
Brought Me Here

I didn’t set out to become a sleep coach. But after becoming utterly obsessed with uncovering the truth behind baby sleep science and unpicking all the online myths, I knew I had to turn what I learned into a lifeline for other families.

My first pregnancy was high-risk, leading to an extended hospital stay before my daughter arrived prematurely. The trauma of that experience, combined with postpartum anxiety, meant I became completely consumed by her sleep. I spent her entire first year spiralling in a sea of Google tabs, conflicting advice, and the heavy pressure of feeling like I was doing everything “wrong.”

Just nine months later, I found out I was pregnant again.

Suddenly, I was parenting two little ones born just 18 months apart, both bright, alert, low sleep needs babies. Navigating extreme sleep deprivation with two under two forced me to throw the rigid rules and generic online sleep schedules out of the window.

Supporting my own children through their unique challenges whilst training in infant sleep, I turned my obsession into a career.

WHY I DO WHAT I DO

No parent should ever have to choose.

I created Co to Sleep Baby because no parent should ever have to choose between getting a good night’s rest and following their parental instincts.

Everything I do is built around your baby, your values and your bond, never around a chart that says what your little one “should” be doing.

Your instincts matter. Your mental health matters. You are the true expert on your baby,

and I’m just here to help you get your sleep back.

No rigid schedules.
No crying it out.
Just nights that feel right.

A baby reaching for comfort, seeking closeness or waking in the night is expressing a fundamental biological need. I will never ask you to stop bedsharing, nursing or comforting your baby if those moments are still serving your family. Instead, we look at your baby’s unique 24-hour sleep capacity, natural temperament and your daily rhythms, then make subtle, effective adjustments that align with your values.

5-STAR REVIEWS ON GOOGLE

I honestly can’t recommend Katie enough. I was so nervous about making changes to my little ones sleep, particularly because I wanted everything to be gentle and responsive. I was really worried about him being upset or feeling like I was taking comfort away from him.

From the very beginning, I felt completely listened to and supported. There was never any pressure to do anything that didn’t feel right for us, and the plan felt really personal to my little boy and our family rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

What I appreciated most was the support and reassurance along the way. Whenever I doubted myself or worried that we were doing the wrong thing, Katie helped me understand what was happening and gave me the confidence to keep going, while still reminding me that I could respond and follow my instincts.

The difference it has made to our family has been huge. My little boy had always relied so heavily on me for sleep and feeding to sleep was such a big part of our routine. He now no longer feeds to sleep and, something I genuinely wasn't sure we'd ever manage, he can now be settled by his dad too. That alone has been such a massive change for all of us and has taken so much pressure off me.

She also helped us optimise his naps and schedule and since doing that he is sleeping so much better at night with fewer wakes. Rather than simply focusing on how we settled him, we looked at his sleep as a whole and made changes that actually worked for him.

It hasn’t felt like traditional “sleep training” at all. It has felt gentle, respectful and completely centred around his needs, which was incredibly important to me. We've made such big changes without ever feeling like we had to compromise on being responsive or comforting him.

We’ve had such a positive experience that we’re already planning to work together again in November when we’re ready to tackle fully weaning. I think that probably says more than anything else about how much I trust Katie!

I’m so grateful for the guidance, patience and reassurance we’ve had throughout the whole process. If you’re a parent who desperately wants to improve sleep but feels anxious about sleep training or leaving your child to cry, I genuinely couldn’t recommend her enough. It has been one of the best things we’ve done for our family. ❤️

I’m a first time mum to a baby who couldn’t sleep alone at all. Finding Katie and her approach with co-sleeping gave us more than just better sleep, it meant I felt good in my choices to continue co-sleeping and she gave me the knowledge to make sure I was doing it safely. Katie is warm and honest and a mum of two so she really gets it! Whilst working together my anxiety went away and we were able to make gentle changes that worked for my baby to get much longer stretches of sleep and no more 2 hour wakes overnight, which were exhausting and I was really struggling to cope with. The biggest thing was that Katie took the time to really get to know me and my baby, his individual temperament and everything was personalised for us. Highly recommend going to Katie for help with your baby’s sleep.

I honestly couldn’t recommend Katie enough! When we reached out to her, our 8-month-old was waking almost every hour, having split nights, and bedtime was taking over an hour. We were exhausted and really needed some guidance.

One of the most important things for us was that we did not want to do any sleep training, and that’s why we chose her. Everything we did was gentle, responsive and focused on supporting our baby’s sleep, absolutely no sleep training or leaving our baby to cry.

Katie is so caring, supportive and understanding. She’s also a mum herself, so she truly gets it. We never felt judged or pressured, and she worked with us to find changes that felt right for our baby and our family.

The difference has been incredible. We’re now down to just 2–3 quick wakes for feeds, the split nights are gone, bedtime is so much easier, and our baby is sleeping in the cot!

Katie has made such a positive difference for our whole family. If you’re struggling with your baby’s sleep but don’t want to sleep train, I couldn’t recommend Katie more. We are so incredibly grateful for her! ❤️ thank you Katie! 🥹

Katie was so thorough in helping my little boy with sleep. She took on board his temperament and our family dynamic to make a great plan for us, we were struggling with early mornings and multiple night wakings. It has been so refreshing to have help from someone not suggesting extreme methods, and working with us through this journey. We now have very few night wakes and no more extra early mornings, thank you!

Sophie W. GOOGLE REVIEW

Finding Katie literally helped save my peace! In America, I was unable to find a consultant who would work with us because we co-sleep. They insisted we had to leave our baby to cry it out and develop independent sleep skills, which never felt right for us. Katie actually took our baby’s individual temperament into account and helped us navigate what would work specifically for her. We went from 4/5 AM wakes to 6/630 ones, and from frequent night wakes (8-10) down to just 2-3 for feeds. We left with a roadmap and next steps for future changes, including our transition from 3 to 2 naps. The biggest win was the emotional reassurance Katie gave us, letting me know my baby isn’t in need of training or fixing. The changes we implemented were natural and worked well for our family and lifestyle. Thank you again Katie! ❤️

Katie is knowledgeable, detail oriented, and above all, incredibly kind. She understands how nuanced sleep can be and is so validating on how hard it can be as a parent. She has completely transformed our evenings and nights and was supportive every single step of the way. Choosing Katie was one of the best decisions we have ever made

It is hard to put into words how grateful I am for the support and guidance that we received during our time working alongside Katie. This being my first pregnancy there was so much we didn't know and with so much information online and on social media it was easy to head down a path that wasn't right for me and my family. I didn't know it at the time but our little one is low sleep needs, and here I was following a 7am-7pm sleep schedule.... which did not work for our highly sensitive babe and at 4 months sleep went from bad to worse, and honestly I wasn't ok. Sleep became the only thing I thought I could control and when I couldn't I would breakdown, and at times the constant battles would fill me with rage. Needless to say there were ALOT of tears. I stopped going out, I didn't drive anywhere unless on a nap and then when car naps stopped working I isolated myself even more, it was a very lonely time. I didn't feel like myself anymore, and I didn't even know how I got to where I was.. it all felt very wrong and I knew I needed change, and then somehow I came across Co to Sleep Baby.

I first reached out to Katie on instagram to ask for advice on how to let go of the rigid sleep schedules that played a huge role in my postpartum anxiety.. I never expected a response but to my surprise she not only replied but sent me a very honest and supportive voice message, which honestly changed my life. I felt very connected to Katies personal journey and her openness to sharing it and encouraged us in deciding to work with Katie to help get sleep on track. I was so sleep deprived and barely functioning and to be honest I wast really sure if it would work, I felt a lot of shame that I couldn't figure it out on my own, while people around you assure you that your baby should be able to fall asleep on there own and then sleep through the night....... yeah no. When our little one went from 11 wakes in the night to 5, sometimes 4, I could not believe it. The daily battles around naps and the constant resettling.. gone! Seriously, Katie was my god, she still is! If you know any of this it might sound too good to be true, but honestly Katie helped us understand our little one, she's her own person with her own needs and as basic as that sounds it can be hard to figure out.

I am so incredibly grateful that we found Katie, she not only helped me find the confidence I needed to be the mother I wanted to be but she took the time to help get me there, with a lot of tenderness. I felt very precious about who we should take advice from considering the rabbit hole I found myself in, and thank goodness it was Katie who we put our trust in.

She was truely an amazing person to work with ❤️

My wife and I found Katie on Instagram and we are so glad we did. When we came to Katie we were really worrying about how to stop co sleeping in a way that felt right to both ourselves and our toddler. We’d been sharing a bed with our daughter since she was about 4 months old and now she was 12 months old we were looking at ways to gently stop but couldn’t find anything that felt good. Katie listened to all our fears and talked us through many options and one of those being the idea of a floor bed - something we had never thought about. It honestly worked so well and now our daughter is sleeping in her own bed / room but we can still remain responsive to her needs. The other thing that we loved about working with Katie is that she really guided us through everything and made she we were comfortable with any changes that we made.

Would recommend to anyone thinking about getting help with their baby or toddlers sleep.

Thank you Katie.

lewRL GOOGLE REVIEW

I had the wonderful opportunity of working with Katie at Co to Sleep Baby to help solve some sleep challenges I was experiencing with my infant. Before our daughter was born I knew I wanted to follow gentle and responsive parenting approaches, especially for sleep. I didn't think we were struggling too terribly with sleep, but as we approached our daughter's first birthday I felt like sleep could be improved, specifically with night wakings, and I also wanted to understand more of what toddler sleep would look like.

Working with Katie virtually was so easy, even with a large time difference! She provided materials for me to complete and consider in advance of meeting, and then had demonstrably reviewed them before our first virtual session. At our first session we reviewed the information I gave and discussed my priorities, and I felt fully supported by her and her approach. She actively listened and responded, making sure our discussion was meeting my needs. Following the virtual session she provided a comprehensive sleep plan with different stages, a lot of helpful information to guide the different options and work I could choose to implement at this time or in the future. Throughout the time working together, we had regular check ins over email and video chat and Katie provided updated sleep plans, as well as a road map for the future.

Specifically, when we began working together one of the challenges I had turned out to be too much day sleep, which Katie quickly figured out based on what I was describing. She immediately made some suggestions that I was able to incorporate over about a week's time, and my daughter's bedtime became much easier because she finally was accumulating the appropriate sleep pressure. One thing that I especially appreciated about working with Katie was the flexibility she was able to incorporate into our plans, because it turned out that my daughter was teething for most of the time we worked together. We've learned my daughter's teething takes an extended period of time, so I wasn't able to practice some of the things we had discussed, but Katie always supported me in the decisions I was making to prioritize the comfort of my baby over the ultimate goals I had. She also made sure I knew what the next steps were for the goals we weren't able to address, so that I could move forward productively in the future when I'm ready.

One of the things I most appreciated Katie saying to me was something along the lines of not needing to figure out everything all at once, because the good and responsive practices take time and babies are unpredictable. It was such a breath of fresh air to have my parenting decisions applauded by someone and to be told that I'm doing a great job, because we all know that isn't common. Thank you, Katie!
